Easy Ways To Travel The World and Make Money!!!
February 10, 2019
Have you ever thought of hiking Machu Picchu in the Netherlands? What about relaxing in a Colombian beach or spending a day or two in one of the best hotels in China?
All these places are indeed lovely, but let’s face it; how would you afford these expensive trips? Won’t it be a nice idea of earning money while you are travelling? Is that even possible?
Well, my response to these questions is simple; it is actually possible to get paid while travelling. Listen; nobody, I repeat, nobody will pay you to travel, but there are thousands of clients all over the world ready to part with their money for you to work for them while travelling. Even though there are many ways to make money while travelling, one sure and guarantee way to make money on transit is the internet. Travellers run their business online remotely from any part of the world. All you need is Wi-Fi/internet, laptop or a cell phone.
To help you get started, I have put together easy ways to travel the world and smile to the bank. So, without further ado, let’s get started:
1. Freelance Photography/ Freelance Videographer
Are you good in visual storytelling? Then, this might be an opportunity for you to earn passive income. There are lots of companies across the world looking to hire photographers and videographers. You can also sell your video clips and photographs on different websites like Shutterstock and smugmug.com. By creating content consistently, it can become a decent passive income.
2. Travel Blogger/ Travel Writer
I think this is the easiest way to earn money while travelling. All you must do is blog/write about your travel adventures, about the cultures, the food you have tasted and the experiences you’ve had. If you don’t have a blog, you can write articles and sell them to other bloggers.
3. Teach English Abroad
Another way to earn passive income is to teach English abroad. To get started in the teaching line, you’ve have got to obtain a TEFL certification. There are two ways to teach English abroad. You can travel to countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China. The demand for English teacher is in high demand since English is not their lingual Franca. On the other hand, you can teach English online. There are lots of students online seeking English teachers. When you are connected with such students, you can form a forum and then start teaching. Before you realise it, they would pay you for your service.
4. Affiliate Marketing
Nowadays, affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways people make money online. It’s a strategy where an individual collaborates with a business in order to make a commission by referring visitors to a product or service. For example, if you use a certain travel agency, photography equipment or books, you include a special affiliate tracking link to those products or service.
This means if some visitors decide to click through the link and buy a product or service, you will receive a small commission
Amazon.com and booking.com are popular platforms in this kind of business. Also, there are many more that pay to refer their product or service.
5. Work on Cruise Ships
When people talk about travel, the most popular option on people’s mind is air or land. But do you know travelling by sea is another adventure you can explore? You can move from one island to the other via sea. All you need to do on a cruise ship is to attend to the customers, prepare the food, clean the ship and the rooms etc.
Cruise ships offer passengers a great experience and provide a high level of comfort. I highly recommend this option as an excellent way to earn good money while getting a taste of the world, gaining some solid work experience and networking with hundreds of people from around the world. You get paid to see the world and interact with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Once you are able to work on cruise ships, you will surely smile to the bank.
6. Tour Guide
Being a tour guide is actually fun and one of the easiest ways to make passive income while you are on the move. Locate a local travel agency close by, and apply to be a tour guide. This job will allow you to lead a group of travellers to different countries and explore with them. Make sure you have been to the country to guide your tour group. By doing this you get paid and you travel for free.
Many tour guides work as freelancers, but there are also larger companies that hire tour guides to run their travel programs. The workload can change throughout the year and usually features a busy peak season and a low season where you may not have as many tours. If you love living out of a suitcase and sharing your love of places with people, this is a great job opportunity to combine with travel.
8. Influencer Marketing
Do you have huge followers on social media? You can make money from social media to fund your travel expenses. Nowadays, there is no brand or business that does not have a social media presence. In fact, the market on social media is very huge.
A lot of people are smiling to the bank, you shouldn’t be an exception. You can liaise with smaller brands and offer to serve as their brand ambassador on various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, Instagram, etc. Most of these small businesses will jump at your offer so that their brand would become popular.
9. Virtual Assistant
A virtual assistant is basically a personal assistant that provides aid to clients and assists with everything from administrative tasks to project management – but they do not work in the client’s office. Virtual assistant jobs are like customer service jobs except that instead of helping customers, you help a company, business or entrepreneur with daily tasks and projects.
Social media scheduling, responding to customer inquiries, calendar management, and all sorts of other tasks can be taken care of by a competent virtual assistant. It’s a job that often allows you to work from anywhere in the world.
You love food and travelling, why not combine your two passions and earn some money. You can cook your way around the world. There is a huge demand for chefs at resorts, restaurants, cruise ships and more.
11. Traveling Nurse
Working as a travel nurse is a lucrative way to make money while travelling the world. The demand for a travel nurse is very high. You need at least one year working experience in your area of speciality. Visas and housing will be provided by the employer. The job assignment usually lasts 13 weeks and can often be prolonged by mutual agreement.
12. Travel Online Store
Everybody has an online store nowadays. While travelling, buy souvenirs and sell them through your online store. It can be a souvenir online store, clothes online store, the niche is endless. List your items by country so consumers can find what they are looking for about a certain country. Example include; souvenirs from Thailand, souvenirs from Vietnam etc.
One good thing about a travel online store is that you can operate from any part of the world. Remember, the internet is a global village. This business can rake in lots of money for you to fund your travel expenses. The key is to be consistent in creating content and the sky would be your limit.
If you love travelling, but you cannot afford the cost that comes with it, then you need to give the thought of working online a serious consideration.
